Aaaaahhhhhh!

What a GREAT vacation!  I am back from Mexico and had a fabulous time!!!!  I guess three years is a bit too long to go without a warm family vacation!  I came back feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated but it felt great to get right back shooting this weekend too.  I am working my way through voicemails and emails and hope to get back to everyone over the next couple of days.

As I have mentioned before...I LOVE my job.  The fact that I shot 2000 pictures on my vacation shows you exactly how much.  Now I have no idea when I am going to get through all of these!  I still have not finished going through the pictures from my son's school Christmas party!!!  At least I have them though!  Here is just a quick look at my memories captured...from

It was so nice to get the time with my children to be able to appreciate a few more of the little things. 

Mexico bound!

Yippee, it is finally here...fun in the sun with my family!  I will be on vacation for the next 10 days.  I will have very limited access to email and I will not be returning voicemails until the week of March 30th.  I hope that everyone has a fantastic Spring Break!  My Mac is shut down so no pictures.   

Happy 1st Birthday Miss L!!!

I have just completed a Watch Me Grow package with this little one.  As you know, if you follow my blog, this is one of my favourite things to do.  This little one is particularly special as she is featured in the studio on a 30x40 canvas and greets me each morning.  She is also the little one playing with dad's tattoo a few months ago.  The family was awesome to work with and I look forward to continuing to watch Miss L (and potentially her family;) ) grow!

The posts have been sparse this week as my little one is still battling something:(  Trying hard to get her healthy before we depart on Tues.  I will have one more post out before I leave.

Gorgeous Family!

The time change this weekend caused one of my clients yesterday to be a bit late thus giving me some time to work on the pictures from the day before:)  It was a great session!  The family was so much fun, not to mention adorable!  It seems that mom's latest pregnancy has sparked some sensitivity in the older son.  He was so cuddly and did some adorable things!  Great session...can't wait for the newborn session.  I have so many newborns coming up...I am so excited!!! 

I am also happy to say that I will be heading out of this deep freeze in 8 sleeps.  We are heading off to Mexico for a family vacation for 10 days.  No doubt, I am crazy excited!  It has been a couple of years since we have been away and this weather is definitely making things that much sweeter!  I will be frantically working to get everything done this week - I am only planning on having very limited access to email while I am away.  Time for a break!

Social Series

The first social series seminar went off extremely well this Wednesday, although I think that everyone left feeling a little overwhelmed and a little guilty.  I know that I, for one, sat through Kerry's presentation looking around at all of the environmental faux pas' - chilean grapes, non-recycled napkins, not to mention all of the energy-sucking equipment.  Fortunately Kerry does stress even just starting by choosing one way to reduce our carbon footprint can help.  I will try to post a few points next week that really resonated with me for those who were interested and missed the session.  I had a significant number of clients that had hoped to make it so I will be posting details of Kerry's next session for parents - she mentioned that she would be holding a seminar at the Strathcona Community Center in April (www.greenplan-it.ca).  

There are a couple of sessions that have been suggested for the second session in the series (probably occurring in May) and would love feedback as to where everyone's interests lie.

 - Love 2 Eat - there are a number of workshops to choose from 

 - Childbirth Education - information on doulas

 - Babywearing 

Impeccable timing

My children have fantastic timing.  I had not planned any sessions this past weekend because I was working on a commercial session last week and had a few other events planned this weekend.  This was also the weekend that they both ended up with the stomach flu - so although this does not seem like a blessing, it really was.  In addition, I have made it through the weekend without catching it - my husband was not as lucky.  I seriously do not even know how that happens...the only time that he had to deal with it was Friday evening when I was out.  Anyway, I am here and back at work and the event is still on tomorrow.  I will not be sharing the commercial pictures as they are for an oil and gas magazine so not really relevant to Tot Shots.  I am still working through all of the sessions from the past weekend.  I promise to have it all done by the end of the week.
